The Server Has Been Upgraded	May 16, 2002
yep. it's in good shape, too. theres still some stuff that needs to be done, but we'll get to that later. for now, the server is live!

Server Down for Upgrade	May 14, 2002
Bear with it. I know you've been online long enough to have pained the intermitent "server upgrade" downtime on even your favorite site. Isn't that down time well spent? You won't be dissapointed with this downtime either. The schMACme hotline server is about to get a boost to the tune of G4 450 / 500mb ram / 25gigs additional hard drive space! The upgrade may take as long as a day, even two. Theres a slew of PCI cards I've got to install and configure, and I think I'm gonna re-organize the space for the server so it's easier to access than the current one. Stay tuned. I'll be taking it down the evening of May 14, 2002. I'll post an update as soon as the server is live again!

New Photo Section	May 11, 2002
The pics section has been updated with new pictures and a brand new interface. If you are one of the lucky few that has access to the photo album, you'll find several new sets of photos that are long overdue; and there's more to come! If you don't have access, but consider yourself a close friend or family to the likes of schmacme, you can ask for access here. The rest of you are just out of luck. You wouldn't be interested in the pics anyway. With the new layout, it is very simple for me to add pics, so look for it to be updated fairly regularly.

WILL THE PROBLEMS NEVER END?	May 3, 2002
If you haven't noticed already, the hotline server has been on and off. My new DSL connection with Mindspring has been shoddy at best. I don't know what their problem is, but sometimes I can connect, sometimes I can't. I was unable to connect for 5 days in a row last weekend! They think it doesn't bother me that one day I have DSL and the next I don't. What happened to the mindspring of two + years ago that was ALL about customer service?! Every time I call their tech support they try to have me completely rip my system, and then re-install from their crappy install cd. All this and then they check for a server outage! What the fuck? Outrage. Yours and mine. I don't know if this will ever be settled... I may have to look into PacBell DSL - but that's only if I have no other choice. I'll keep workin' at it until Mindspring fixes it or I cave in and switch providers.
