The radio worked just fine, except... It required too much bandwidth from the schMACme server. It sucked so much that no other programs could run while the radio was streaming. I had to take it off-line.

I'm looking into alternative methods of streaming, while at the same time not spending an arm and a leg getting it to work. I'm convinced there is a way. I've just got to find it. In the meantime, sit tight, and enjoy the silence.

Broadcasting on a frequency, or bandwidth, or stream, or... whatever. What's important here is that the stream is live! There's music spout'n from schmacme.com like never before. We're kinda in a testing phase right now, but you should join in on it. You may be the lucky one who finds a bug! So check it out.

There's a good chance things will break until it's all worked out. I guess what I'm really saying is: if you don't hear anything when you connect, chalk it up to beta! Enjoy. And send me you comments/suggestions as to what to play and when. Send me your music too, so i can play it.

Such a 90's Thing December 15, 2001
Finally! schmacme has redesigned the website. While not many people really complained about it, it was certainly an outdated - 90's design. I think i'll save the design for another ten years and put it online when retro websites are popular again. While this new layout is not necessarily 'cutting edge', it allows more room to include snazzy technology canvases such as Flash, Director, you name it. Not to mention, it's easier to navigate and has a much more consistent look and feel. I hope you feel the same way! Let me know what you think. I haven't looked at the site on all platforms and browsers, so please let me know if you are experiencing problems, or if it just looks horrible from where you're sitting.

I've included some new features and dropped some old links with the new design. Not that you'll miss it, cuz it too is a 90's concept and only 8 people had signed it since '98 - the guestbook is not linked and with it goes the rant. I think I'll leave them in the archve tho... Which brings me to the archive. No more links to the old stuff (at least for now). New to the site is the link of the day. A new link will post every day. Until I get more feedback, these are just going to be random links that i'll pull from my bookmarks. If you send me a link that shows up there, I'll be sure to give you full credit for it. Also new are the plugs. These are some friends sites worth visiting. While they can also be found in the links section, they deserve more attention than having to dig for them.

All in all, I'm still considering some radical changes to the site, but: if you've ever worked on a website with lot's of content, you know that updating can take more hours than your free time allows! We'll see tho.
