100 gigabyte sermon January 22, 2002

no server can exist without space. schmacme found this out the hard way when the server filled up with backup goods, and offered no room to upload. let us bow our heads, now, and give thanks to the 100gig firewire hard drive. for without affordable disk space, this hotline server would mereley be used for chatting and posting news. schmacme has procured one such hard drive for use of the masses that visit this glorious backup server.

here, in all it's external firewire splendor is our savior. may we give thanks to EZQuest, to Macworld, to Firewire.
now that this additional 100 gigs has been plugged into our server, it can (and will) exist indefinately for it's intended use. may we all experience the joy that is back-up. may we share our mac magnetic media space and flourish, uncompromised, in a strange and violent world. a world that may try as it may to rob us of our apps; of our music; of our movies. a world that allows us off-site space for which to store our goods. a world that we may post and retrieve our goods whenever necessary. our protector. our savior.

with this sermon: with this hard drive: we have found a total of 150gigs + space to romp in.
today is epic. it is profound. it is real.

enjoy it.

schMACworld-SF January 14, 2002
in a universe of PC fancy hipocrates, macworld is a welcome gathering of mac users.  luckily, i need not belong to a mac club that meets every third thursday at denny's to rave on Mac advantage.  i live in the center of a San Francisco mac world.  i use macs for nearly everything i do on a computer, save my employers insistence on certain platform specific applications lacking mac programming.  i rely on macworld to bring me my ace in the hole when engaged in pc/mac arguments, even those with myself.  a self professed mac geek, i went to macworld-sf.
so, what did macworld give us this time?

allow me this critique:
